My experience has been similar to Bruce's in that I have very few driver
issues. The only one that comes to mind is that I didn't have a printer
supported by Linux, so I went and bought a different $250 one. You can find
which printers are supported on the following page:

I just upgraded to a 37" Insignia monitor and have had zero issues with that
concerning drivers. It just isn't nearly as much of an issue anymore.
Especially when you have money bags like Canonical's owner who is dedicated
to sticking it to Microsoft (I believe he made it big in the dot com
bubble).
