David and I have had this discussion several times and he knows I totally
disagree with him. I feel like my years of experience back me up and
David of course has years of experience that back him up. So different
sets of experiences can make linux viable or not. Of course the same can
be said about any operating system so I don't think that's a huge
bombshell.
p.s. I *REALLY* don't want this list to turn into a debate about if
linux is viable on the desktop or not.
LOL - what??? That's like saying, "Baseball sucks!!" and then saying, "I
don't want to talk about whether or not baseball sucks."
But I understand what you're trying to say. I don't think my response
goes against that.

if you want to understand why that is, there are many good books on
the design of operating systems. please pass them along to redmond
when you're done reading them :)
