I tried to use a minor tweaking of your script and all I got was an xterm window with a command prompt. Here’s what I have for my script:

exec xterm -name "CAMS" -bg black -fg green -T "xt5250 - $XT5250_HOST" \ +sb -geometry 200x150 -fa lucidatypewriter -fs 14
I figured out that the “\” was in there for a reason. Also, your original script kept spawning new terminals so I removed the “-e "$0" -BOOT "$@"” and that stopped it.

Also, I moved the tn5250rc out of /usr/local/etc back into the home directory and deleted all .tn5250rc files and the old .tn5250rc~ file.
I still can’t get the damn thing to work, though… I’m severely frustrated… PLEASE help‼‼ I *am* able to get xt5250 to work just fine if I type "xt5250 <servername>" into the command prompt, but can't seem to get it to work scripted though.

All I really want is a big, full-screen (or nearly so) window for the AS/400 client. The default size is unreadable unless you've got a 12" monitor!!
