Sean, what happens when you do Edit->Copy and then middle button into
xterm? When I do that xterm doesn't paste the Edit->Copy buffer, but
rather whatever I had previously highlighted with the left mouse button.
x5250 is now doing the same thing that xterm does for me with this patch.
It's been my experience that middle click always pasted what was selected, not what was copied. Since I highlighted then copied, both buffers had the same data.
Testing my yet unmodified x5250, I see highlight/paste does indeed work from xterm. I must not have tried it the other day from anything but gvim (since that's where I had my text). My vim is 7.2.060, FWIW.
