The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I copied your text from my browser (webmail interface) and pasted it

Copy/paste/crash. Tried with text based vim, no problem. So it's
something gvim is doing that's causing the problem. No problem with
text copied from gedit either.
I have vim/gvim 7.1.330 and I entered the following three lines of text:
this is just a small testA
and this is another line
and so is this
Then highlighted those lines with the left mouse button and then pasted
into x5250 using the middle mouse button. No crash. We're on the same
versions of tn5250/x5250 so I think we can rule out version discrepancies
there. How are you doing your copy/paste? Middle mouse button or some
desktop feature like control-c or something like that (never did like
those keystrokes for copy/paste personally so I don't know what they are).
If you're using some keystroke combination then I'm wondering if the
desktop environment is a factor. I feel like I'm grasping at straws
though.

if you want to understand why that is, there are many good books on
the design of operating systems. please pass them along to redmond
when you're done reading them :)
