Im using the same configuration I use for other queues but I can't establish connection. Is there a way to enable logging on lp5250d to find out what's going on with the handshaking?yes. use the tracefile option: lp5250d tracefile=trace.log <sessionname>
I thought that trace was for printing jobs, not for logging events. I'm going to give it a try.
*Second problem: Paper Size. It seems that paper size of documents printed on PRTMVC1 are bigger than the rest, so moving documents from this queue to another one results in this error: Le type d'unit{ du fichier n'est pas accept{ par l'unit{. I don't speak french but I think it's a paper size problem. Searching in your archives I found this post, clearly the same problem that Im having now: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.tn5250/556 I don't understand how to change parameters on my .tn5250rc to solve this situation, it will be very nice if you can help me on that.It looks like you need to use a CPI of 15 or greater. From that same achive message: "So to overcome you current issue, you should specify a CPI value of 15 CPI or greater (ex. 16.7 or 20) in your printer file in order to print the 198 columns via lpd5250."
I read it on the original post but I can't find any info on how to change that parameter, can you pleas tell me how?
