Hi,I am trying new tarball. I had to use x5250.h from older version to make x5250. There is same minnor mistake yet:
. . make[2]: Entering directory `/home/josef/x5250-0.5.2-rc1' make[2]: *** No rule to make target `X5250', needed by `all-am'. Stop. make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/josef/x5250-0.5.2-rc1' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/josef/x5250-0.5.2-rc1' make: *** [all] Error 2 but it is not important now, x5250 is created. With this new x5250 message keysym %s is not handled doesn't appear but charecter (ecaron) is not sent to 5250 session (I see comment in key.c).
I receive message Unknown key : for acute characters (y,a,i,e) only.I tried tn5250 in X (yes, xt5250 script) with LANG and locale set to cs_CZ and charecters are send correctly.
I don't know if this can help you. Josef Madl----- Original Message ----- From: "James Rich" <james@xxxxxxxxxxx>

I trying to use x5250 version 0.5.1 in czech environment but I have problem to type czech characters for example ecaron (on czech keybord under "2"). I add line X5250*ecaron : 0x1ec to /usr/local/share/x5250/x5250 file but when I press this key, there is message "keysym ecaron is not handled". Option XkbLayout is "cz" in XF86Config, locale is cs_CZ.
This is happening because x5250 is receiving a keysym that it does not know what to do with. Probably the right thing to do in this case is to simply return the integer value of the keysym to lib5250 and hope that lib5250 can figure it out. There may be more i18n issues to work out. I've put together a tarball that does just this and put it up at: http://www.chowhouse.com/~james/x5250/x5250-0.5.2-rc1.tar.gz Please try this out and let me know if it fixes the issue for you.
(Sorry for my english)
