The jt400 jar is only needed if you want the Upload/Download features.
Not knocking anybody here, just curious if folks were aware of them...

and TN5250J runs on any Java VM.
If you can get around to building it, which is non-trivial, in addition to which the TN5250J open source project shows some signs of neglect (check out the mail archives).
