tn5250 0.17.2 released

After nearly two years the tn5250 project announces a new development release: tn5250 version 0.17.2. This release is the first to contain significant support for the enhanced 5250 protocol. Enhanced features include:

 * cursor progression
 * continuous fields
 * word wrap
 * enhanced window support

To make use of these new features x5250 version 0.4.8 is required. For more information please visit the x5250 web page at:

Once x5250 is installed, you can enable enhanced features by adding the +enhanced flag to your .tn5250rc file. Here is an example:

as400 {
        host = as400.mydomain.com
        +enhanced
}
