So is it decided then? Can I start removing glib references in cvs HEAD? I don't know how to branch cvs. If we are decided can someone make a branch that matches current cvs and then I'll start making the changes to cvs HEAD?

I'm not clear on what the conclusion was? Were we going to remove glib & python references in 0.17, or were we going to promote 0.16 to be the new HEAD branch?

The proposal is:
1. remove glib and python from current cvs HEAD.
2. branch HEAD to keep the old glib and python stuff in case we ever need it again (turns out this has already been done).
3. all future development will focus on HEAD instead of maintaining both HEAD and b0-16.

I'm also in favor of discontinuing S/Lang support, if I haven't made that clear. It's already way out of sync with NCurses, and I don't think anyone uses it.

I would not be opposed to this. Since Carey already branched we could simply remove slang from HEAD and add it back from the 0.17 branch if needed.
