As I get time over the next few weeks, I'm going to be checking in some
patches to tn5250 so that it can run under PC DOS and MS DOS, along with
a few other minor changes that developed along the way. The patches are
against the stable b0-16 branch, and shouldn't have any effect outside
the new files for DOS support.
The updated tn5250 compiles as a protected mode program with DJGPP,
using Watt-32 for networking.
The first patch isn't strictly to with with DOS; it converts the
"transmaps" program from Perl to a shell script, and adds a number of
DOS codepages. I also fixed the bug in recode for codepage 870 and
regenerated transmaps.h, and so removed the hack in utility.c. (See
http://bugs.debian.org/270414 for the fix.)
I'll keep the mailing list updated as I check in further changes.
