I see there are some commercial products for iseries printing which support IDPS. Anyone know of open source attempts?

Using Host Print Transform with scs2ascii allows you to send IPDS print files to an lp5250d print session. Other than that, I'm not aware of anything. I've looked at IPDS several times but haven't coded much to use it yet. If you can hack X11, I'm sure you could do IPDS.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I got around hacking X by running sessions
which use 122 key kbd as console tn5250 where 'setkeycodes' will map ANY
scancode to a keycode. From X i run say session 2 with openvt -f -c 2 tn5250 MYSESS2.
X is an almost unhackable mess.
