Sorry, you cannot attach messages to the mailing lists. (It causes
problems with archives and digests, so they simply aren't allowed)
You need to just cut/paste the code into the body of your e-mail message.

On my system, they work out-of-the-box in xt5250. Or, were you the one
trying to get the 122-key keyboard working? At any rate, immediately
after installing TN5250 on my box, I can do an
"xt5250 ssl:as400.example.com" and then pressing shift-F1 works as F13,
shift-F2 is F14, etc. I don't have to do anything configuration at all.

Though, I don't use an .Xdefaults file. Maybe that's what's causing the
problems...

Also, I'm on FreeBSD, which may cause a difference. I do have an RH 9
box at home, though. I can try it out later tonight.

Another idea would be to try getting gnome-5250 from CVS. It deals with
the keyboard in a completely different way than xt5250 does. It's not
quite as featureful as xt5250, but it's what I've been using, and it does
the job well-enough.

It's not a stupid question, I'm just a bit baffled because I don't
normally have problems with the function keys. So, I'm trying to get very
specific information in the hopes that I can see something that will help
you.
