Pere, What host are you connecting to with tn5250 ? I use tn5250 under rh 7.1 to connect to our intranet AS/400 and also use openoffice for linux. I have wished that tn5250 had the file transfer functionality found in IBM's client access. My solution will be to install Websphere/Host Publisher features of IBM OS/400. Begininng with OS/400 v4.5 these allow 5250 emulation to a client running just a browser. I understand that file transfer functionality is included. I hope to test this all out during the next month or so. If your host is not an AS/400 and you need to connect OO to an ODBC datasource I believe you will need an ODBC driver for Linux for the particular DB you want to access. Good Luck.. al Pere Vilarasau wrote: > Hi: > > I have my tn5250 over linux red hat 7.3. I use > openoffice as my only suite.
