RE: Unsubscribe

There have been cases where a mailing list subscription has looked like spam
because a new employee got an ex-employee's email:

Ms Jane Smith starts employment
jsmith@here.za subscribes to mailing list
Ms Smith leaves the company without unsubscribing
Mr John Smith starts employment
Mr Smith starts getting email he never subscribed to;
  he deletes them without looking at them
Mr Smith complains to his IT dept about getting spam
Mr Smith complains to mailing list, not realising
  that the list is managed by a program, not a person

Misunderstandings all around.
