I was the one checking it so i was logged on as me (didn't skip login)
all my machines use the netware (from novell) client some have different
versions of the client but the one i was testing on had the latest and
greatest (version 3.3) novell client.

Is it possible that the username/password screen on this Win95 machine may
have been skipped?  like someone hit ESC or clicked Cancel when the logon
prompt appeared?

Or maybe the difference is that I'm logging in using the Client for
Microsoft Networks, and you're using Client for Netware Networks?   I
don't have any Netware networks to test with...
