I've decided to risk it, and go ahead and make a new release. I've added a CVS tag for v0-16-2 and have used the SourceForge tools to create a new 0.16.2 release. The site tells me that the release will take a "few hours" to propagate, but once it has you should be able to get it by going to http://tn5250.sourceforge.net/ and clicking on the link where it says "To get the latest stable release of tn5250, visit the tn5250 files list."
