I just wanted to thank everyone for the help. I finally got the cvs
version(0.17.1?) installed and the packed fields bug is gone. No more
terminal crashes yah ;), the window resizes just like it is supposed
to.
I am wondering why this cvs version has not been versioned for the
masses it seems stable? I mean I got the cvs version up and running
after having time to research my package selections but I don't think
everyone wants to or will go through that.
        Anyway thanks again.
