I downloaded the CVS version of tn5250 and the terminal part appears to be working fine. However I'm having a bit of trouble with the lp5250d part. This was working ok with an older version (0.15.8). In my .tn5250rc file I have the following configuration: printer { host = as400 env.DEVNAME = WSPKN1 env.IBMMFRTYPMDL=*OKI320IBM outputcommand='scs2ascii | lpr -Pp13' trace=/home/users/tomc/prn.log } After running the command "lp5250d printer", I get the following in /var/log/messages: Sep 8 11:07:05 virgo lp5250d[11923]: DEVNAME = WSPKN1 Sep 8 11:07:05 virgo lp5250d[11923]: TRANSFORM = *OKI320IBM Sep 8 11:07:07 virgo lp5250d[11923]: I902 : Session successfully started. But the lp5250d process dies off mysteriously. My trace file looks like this: lp5250d version 0.17.1, built on Sep 8 2000 host = as400 Non-Blocking HOST, This->status = 8 0 GotVerb(2):<IAC><DO><NEWENV> GotVerb(3):<IAC><DO><NEWENV> HOST, This->status = 8 0 GotVerb(2):<IAC><DO><TERMTYPE> GotVerb(3):<IAC><DO><TERMTYPE> GotSB:<IAC><SB><NEWENV><SEND> <USERVAR>IBMRSEED<81 3C 0D E0 B1 42 80 04> <VAR><USERVAR><IAC><SE> SentSB:<IAC><SB><NEWENV><IS> <VAR>DEVNAME <USERVAR>WSPKN1 <VAR>IBMMFRTYPMDL <USERVAR>*OKI320IBM <VAR>TERM <USERVAR>IBM-3812-1 <VAR>IBMFONT <USERVAR>12 <VAR>IBMTRANSFORM <USERVAR>1<IAC><SE> GotSB:<IAC><SB><TERMTYPE><SEND><IAC><SE> SentSB:<IAC><SB><TERMTYPE><IS>t^A<IAC><SE> HOST, This->status = 8 1 GotVerb(2):<IAC><DO><END_OF_REC> GotVerb(3):<IAC><DO><END_OF_REC> HOST, This->status = 8 1 GotVerb(2):<IAC><WILL><END_OF_REC> GotVerb(3):<IAC><WILL><END_OF_REC> HOST, This->status = 8 1 GotVerb(2):<IAC><DO><BINARY> GotVerb(3):<IAC><DO><BINARY> HOST, This->status = 8 1 GotVerb(2):<IAC><WILL><BINARY> GotVerb(3):<IAC><WILL><BINARY> Dumping buffer (length=73): @record +0000 004912a0 90000560 060020c0 003d0000 .... .-. .{ . @record +0010 c9f9f0f2 e2f1f0f0 c3f3f9c4 e6e2d7d2 I902S100C39DWSPK @record +0020 d5f14040 40400000 00000000 00000000 N1 @record +0030 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 @record +0040 00000000 00000000 00 @eor tn5250_stream_get_record: offset = 11 Dumping buffer (length=161): @record +0000 00a112a0 01010a18 00010000 00000000 ~...... . @record +0010 038f1112 141b2d00 1b410c1b 321b461b ....... ........ @record +0020 50001b52 1b541b57 001b5f00 1b5b4004 & ...... .. .$ . @record +0030 00000011 010d181b 49001b39 1b481b25 ...... ...... @record +0040 481b3612 1b49031b 461b2d00 1b410c1b ........... .... @record +0050 32121b49 00120f1b 5b400400 00001101 .... ...$ . .. @record +0060 1b361212 0f1b5b40 04000000 11011b46 ......$ . .... @record +0070 1b2d001b 410c1b32 12120f1b 5b400400 .. .........$ . @record +0080 00001101 12120f1b 5b400400 00001101 ......$ . .. @record +0090 12120f1b 5b400400 00001101 1b410c1b ....$ . ...... @record +00A0 32 . @eor tn5250_stream_get_record: offset = 16 SendPacket: length = 12 SendPacket: data follows.
