Yes, if you're running from an xterm, you should include the following line in
/usr/local/share/tn5250/XTerm (and make sure the key isn't defined more than
once, that could be a problem...)

<Key>Control_R: string("\013") \n\

That will make the right control key be field exit.  It worked for me.
