I've been trying to get these key bindings to work (especially the right
control as field exit). I edit the /usr/share/tn5250/XTerm file, but
nothing seems to work. Is that the correct file?

That's what I get for not testing...  The X keysym is "Return":

        <Key>Return: string("\013") \n\
