Could there be another terminfo or termcap definition somewhere else
overriding the real ones in /usr/share/terminfo?  It might be
worthwhile trying "TERM=xterm-5250 strace -o strace5250 tn5250 ..."
and "find / -name 'xterm-5250*'", as well as checking /etc/terminfo/*,
/etc/termcap, etc.
