Hmm, CSV isn't mentioned in the post you are replying to.  I can only assume
you mean the CSV file format, as in Comma Seperated Variable.  Looks something
like this:

"Hello",4,"Testing another string",-999

Required for import into some applications, but otherwise not recommended
since it's too ambiguous.  What happens if a quote appears in the text?  Some
programs double the quote, some put a backslash in front of it and backslashify
the rest of the string, etc.  Some programs don't handle commas in strings
well either.

I would prefer tab-delimited format.  The chances of you finding a tab in an
AS/400 file (and the file isn't corrupt) is next to nil.
