http://cvs.cleveland.lug.net/module.pl?module=tn5250 - ASDB.dtd modified according to patch to accept 'Z' for field type. - DESCRIPTION has already been handled another way. - 'Z' patch already applied. - autogen.sh for CVS tree written. - Imported into CVS - to check out: cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.cleveland.lug.net:/tn5250 login #password is anonymous cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@cvs.cleveland.lug.net:/tn5250 checkout asdbget - Fixed syncing error message, now clearer and doesn't do the Windoze-style "Error: Successful" thing. - Removed password command line option, now can be passed via an environment variable. If not supplied, the user is prompted. - XML now valid (or at least accepted by expat and Perl's XML::Parser). - Added asdb2tab perl script which can be used as a pipe to extract data in tab-delimited format. - You need to have tn5250 0.15.7 installed when compiling in order to get translation map support (the -m/--map options). Prior versions will not work. Known issues: Different versions of OS/400 have different record lengths for DSPFFD output, you might get a warning message than an error message in the case that the DSPFFD format isn't what we expect. I'm currently looking into different methods of obtaining the correct record length. -Jay 'Eraserhead' Felice +--- | This is the LINUX5250 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to LINUX5250@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to LINUX5250-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to LINUX5250-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
