Actually the save file must exist as a save file on the remote machine for the
'put' to work successfully.  Furthermore you must use binary transfer mode.

You can however create the save file using the ftp remote command.  I have not
tried it from two AS/400's but from win/nt use the command:

quote rcmd crtsavf qgpl/sflname

Since the AS/400s process the remote command something like this should work.
