Thanks very much for the explanations....maybe someone can scrap out the details for the FAQ? I guess the cow-orker hasn't been using tn5250 anymore so I'm not sure if there's still any problems. I believe that I did get it working for him, but a bug in the emulator makes him not want to use it. So anyway, the bug is this. We have a tool we use to read our product's flight recorders which are stored in IFS. This uses the new-to-V4R4 command DSPF which displays stream files or database files. As soon as I run our tool or the DSPF command tn5250 barfs and exists. Below is the tracefile. I'm not a 5250 hacker, so I wouldn't even know where to begin to fix it, but if the tracefile provides enough information for a fix, I'd be extremely happy to test it. Thanks!
