Over the years, I've noticed that Keytool doesn't work especially well on Midrange boxes.

But over the past week, I've had reason to notice a couple of other things, possibly related.

It seems that if I'm trying to run Tomcat with a Java Keystore that has non-default passwords, and specify it with a keyPass clause in the connector tag, it doesn't take it, and gives an error message instead of opening the SSL port.

And likewise, if I try to do a "keytool -list -v -keystore foobar.ks" in a QShell session, even though I specify the correct password, that works just fine from a command line on my Mac, I get an error message from Keytool, telling me that either the password is wrong, or the keystore is damaged.

Can anybody here shed any light on this?
