Isn't there a system level java properties file stored somewhere ?

Perhaps that got set to log everything to spool files.

And then again...maybe not. I think Dan and Gavin (Gan) are right.
Something is re-directing the output at least on the 7.2 LPAR that is currently not showing the output but instead re-directing it to a spooled file.... There is something triggering it but I haven't figured
out what. It WAS working until I signed out. Back in and....nothing.
