I’m in the very early stages of trying to automate the deployment/installation of Java apps to a Websphere 8.0 server on the IBMi. I’ve got the build process of the EAR file in our Jenkins server. The next step is to deploy it.
I’ve looked around and see there are JACL and Python capabilities to do this but have not seen anything IBMi-specific. Admittedly, I’ve not looked too deeply yet. I thought I would check here to see if anyone has some experience with this or if I’m going down a dead end. Any guidance and/or tips is appreciated.
<rant>It is increasingly difficult to search for IBMi content on the web as some is listed under “AS/400” or “iSeries” or “IBMi” on various sites.</rant>
