Not totally true on the no solution available.

You could use our Native PCL to PDF converter offering, but apparently you want to develop it from scratch :-)

You should talk to Bill Whalen on my sales team. We can probably work out a reseller option if you're looking for distribution options.

Correct, it is in ASCII PCL format. I need to convert this to a PDF
file, somehow.
I am familiar with Java so it's my first option. I had hoped to find a
native process in OS/400 that can perform the conversion, but no such
luck just yet.
