I'm personally curious to know how you fixed the output garbage. That's the
issue I'm having too. I *might* be able to get a hold of someone I know that
works on the GlassFish admin console. He could possibly give us some clues
or maybe put us in contact with someone that could be of more assistance on
the Oracle side.

The jruby instructions are pretty straightforward because it uses the
gem installer:

jruby -s gem install glassfish

That was all I remember doing besides starting glassfish at it's
assigned port. Alas, the Oracle acquisition has further affected the
glassfish gem which is no longer supported since the Oracle acquisition:

I *have* made some progress on running Glassfish on i but still sorting
through issues. I no longer get a dump of garbage when I start the
domain. I can start the asadmin instance but when I invoke the
'start-domain domain1' command I get an error about a configuration
issue and I haven't had the opportunity to run it down. I have been most
successful in running the Glassfish commands from either SSH or qp2term.
When I sort things out I'll post back.
