We have classpath defined in RPG pre-defined compile time arrays where we cannot wildcard the .jar files. In my application I needed multiple .jar to defined in classpath, wildcard is not supported, I listed the .jars by reducing the folder names to 2 char - no other alternatives for us..
It is working so we left it as it is now. I would like to know any other easy methods... In V6R1...
You may want to talk to the Java developer and ask if "executable jars" / "runnable jars" would be feasible. Then the classpath can be listed inside the jar without any external configuration at all.
