RE: Classpath question

This is what I do:

cd /mydir

export
CLASSPATH=./classes:/QIBM/ProdData/Java400/ext/db2_classes.jar:$CL
ASSPATH

java -Djava.ext.dirs=./lib -Djava.version=1.5 my.package.runnable.MyClass
$1

The '-Djava.ext.dirs=./lib' will attach all jars in the /mydir/lib-directory.

Thanks Craig. This at least helps explain why. If I were to unpack the jar

and put it in the ifs the '/JarFiles/' way would work. I think I prefer using the
jar and making the full specification

For .class files, yes. For .jar files, no.

Shouldn't the second way provide a path to all jar files in the
/JarFiles directory in the IFS?
