My understanding is that WASCE is Geronimo that IBM repackaged. Last I heard on a conference call, WASCE was not supported on the i but I haven't tried it. Might have something to do with components other than Tomcat though since WASCE has DB, JMS, Axis and several other things I cannot recall at the moment.

Does anybody know? It's apparently JEE5 certified, and is available with
either Jetty 6 or Tomcat 6. Any idea what that means? Is it an
application that runs in Tomcat 6? Is it a low calorie replacement for
WAS? Would it enhance the functionality of Tomcat for Axis2 services?
Would it be a plus for EGL development? I'm just getting started with
this stuff, and a little confused by all the buzzwords and acronyms.
Currently, I just need a stable environment for exposing web services on
the i.
