The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I don't have an answer to your question, but have you looked at the JobLog
class to see if that would work?
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v6r1m0/topic/rzahh/javadoc/com/ibm/as400/access/JobLog.html
Just an idea.
Thanks for trying to help :) Appreciated!
I have now done some digging and found that the "User defined
transactions" described in
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r3/topic/rzahx/rzahxcollservusertran.htm
with the example Java program in
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r3/topic/rzahx/rzahxcollservusertranexjava.htm
requires /QIBM/ProdData/OS400/CollectionServices/lib/ColSrv.jar which in
turn relies on the
/QSYS.LIB/QPMNPGMS2.SRVPGM service program to do the necessary API calls
including TESTPDC.
I would now be interested in hearing from PEX/Collection Services users
in order to design some good glue between slf4j/log4j and this
functionality :) How could this kind of information help in a
post-mortem debug session?
Thanks :)
