The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

A java.io.InputStream reads a file into a byte array just as if you were
using FTP in binary mode. IFSFileInputStream is an extension of
java.io.InputStream. To take whatever charset the input stream is into
java characters (unicode) one regularaly uses an
java.io.InputStreamReader. java.io.Reader is the same but assumes the
charset is ISO8859. The file descriptor (fd_) of the IFSFileInputStream
should contain the charset id of the coding in the file.

Perhaps wrapping IFSTextFileInputStream (to convert to Unicode) with
InputStreamReader, then wrapping that with BufferedReader()?
This is exactly what I thought IFSTextFileInputStream would do.
Otherwise, what's the purpose of it?
