Hi JHHL,

See:

http://www-01.ibm.com/cgi-bin/common/ssi/ssialias?infotype=an&subtype=ca&htmlfid=897/ENUS200-340&language=enus

which essentially says that 4.5 shipped with 1.1.8 and 1.2.2. according to that, and also some blowhard back in 2000 at:

http://www.jguru.com/faq/view.jsp?EID=282129

you could also install 1.3 Real Soon Now. I don't know how much above that you could go. If you have access to one, use GO LICGM or run java with the *version argument.

Anybody remember what the Java level is for OS/400 V4R5?

I'm under the impression that it's no higher than 1.4, but I'm not sure.
