I have a directory under Documents and Settings/alanc called .tn5250j and
that is where the various config files are at. I am using I believe the 6.1
version. Haven't had any problems saving my settings.

I'm currently using XP. Where do you find/configure the configuration
files?

I put tn5250j.jar is on the System "i". The only PC file I have is the
.java.policy file I created in the "c:\Documents and Settings\myusername"
directory on my PC.

Thanks,

Frank

Subject: Re: tn5250j in browser - save display settings

I ran into the same thing the other day on Vista. I finally just took a
copy
of the configuration files from my XP box at work and replaced the ones on
the Vista box and it worked ok. You don't mention if you are using Vista.

Good afternoon,

TN5250J doesn't save the display settings(color, gui, key mappings,
etc...)
when exiting the browser.

I specified "read, write" as instructed below:

// change the following to "read, write" if you want the user to be
able to save

permission java.io.FilePermission "TN5250JDefaults.props",
"read,write";

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you,

Frank
