I spent some time with IBM clarifying that the Classic JVM in V5R3 may go haywire when debugging with Eclipse (socket attach) leaving a zombie that refused to die.

I don't develop Java code on the iSeries ... I develop it on the PC (communicating with the iSeries). Much easier to do it that way (IMO).

Agree. I didn't like it either. But occasionally it would be SO nice to be able to peek inside a running JVM to see what exactly goes on when there is a problem :)
