The most important tool is the money to pay someone who knows what
they're doing. Like it says in the book...the laborer is worthy of his
hire. You could give me any tools you want and I couldn't build
anything. But...I can program stuff and pay someone to build it. It's
'all thumbs' people like me that provide employment for contractors.

Even self-taught programmers can be plenty dogmatic. Witness the "Cycle
Wars" on the RPG list.

building you a house.

But the more programming languages you know, the easier it is to learn
languages you've never been exposed to, and the more likely you are to
see which language is best, among those available in a given situation,
for the problem at hand.
