After 20 years of doing RPG, SETLL/READP, we now use Java/SQL, happily.
Hundreds of our customers made the same switch.

Hey, Bruce, I'm definitely not knocking MRC, it's great stuff. However, I
can't help but notice that your demo has lots of filters, but no "position
to". It's the position-to capability that all standard work-with
applications use, and is the focus of the SETGT/READP issue.
Now, we can probably have a good philosophical discussion as to whether
position-to really makes sense, especially if you have good keyword and text
searches, but I have a feeling that the ability to position to a spot in a
list by key and then page forward and backward is a fundamental requirement.
