Issue with casting JDBC Connection

Hi
I am trying to cast a JDBC Connection into
AS400JDBCConnectionPool, but i am getting classcast
exception,
i have the code below, has anyone tried it
AS400JDBCConnectionPoolDataSource dataSource = new
AS400JDBCConnectionPoolDataSource("ip","user",
"pass");
 dataSource.setDateFormat("iso");
 dataSource.setPrompt(false);
 dataSource.setTimeFormat("hms");
 dataSource.setNaming("system");
 dataSource.setTranslateBinary (true);
 dataSource.setLibraries(libl);

 AS400JDBCConnectionPool pool = new 
AS400JDBCConnectionPool(dataSource);
 pool.fill(1);
 AS400JDBCConnection conn2 =
(AS400JDBCConnection)pool.getConnection();
                
 System.out.println (conn2.getServerJobIdentifier());

But this works when i use 

DriverManager.getConnection( "jdbc:as400:" + system,
prop );
it works
