Jake,I just had a nice long chat with the folks at ProData and at Linoma about doing basically this but with a bunch more kinda need to have bells and whistles...
SO, I recomment you give Bob or Shelly a call... :) I'll be at the IBM Tech Conf in Orlando in a week and see if they have an progress reports to offer.

Hello Pro's; I have a little situation which I want to run by the pro's to see if anybody did something like this before. I have lots of users who use MS Excel. I want to give them some ability to upload the data from their spreadsheets on to a physical file on the iSeries. This is the approach I have in place currently...I have a combination of servlets/jsp page's where they can upload the spreadsheet to the server and then they can call another jsp page which will parse through the excel spreadsheet they just uploaded and push the data into the physical file on the iSeries. I am running Tomcat on a windows NT box and that box talks to the iSeries. Needless to say this is taking a lot of time considering the fact I have about 25 users who want to use this process. Now, there might be a very simple readymade tool out there for this kind of purpose but I wanted to explore the 'home grown' solution first...Any suggestions or input in this matter would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. cheers, Jake. --This is the Java Programming on and around the iSeries / AS400 (JAVA400-L) mailing listTo post a message email: JAVA400-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/java400-l or email: JAVA400-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/java400-l.
