Ron, typically these jobs are initiated when the odbc driver is used to connect to the db. They will stay alive for however long the connection is not closed. I'm not aware of any time-out setting. Sometimes - whenever a squirrel session explodes, the request remains active on the iSeries, and the job comsumes enormous CPU times after which you will have to manually kill the job.
