Re: change jvm settings (1.3.1 to 1.4.2) in websphere

    After seeing Frances' reply, I wondered about Websphere Community
Edition, which is based on Geronimo.  I didn't think it would go over very
well if one could use JDK 1.5 on the entry level product and have to revert
to 1.4.2 on the heavyweight model.

    Turns out that, while one can use either IBM's or Sun's implementation,
WASCE requires JDK 1.4.2 as well.  See:

  In addition, for Geronimo itself:

"System Requirements
-------------------
You need a platform that supports the Sun JDK 1.4.2.  CORBA
support requires a Sun Java 1.4.2 VM (specifically 1.4.2_08
or a higher 1.4.2_* release)."

    This aspect does cause some consideration because 1.6 is not that far
away.
