We want to run Java programs on a PeopleSoft application server that use JTOpen
to access iSeries resources. We can't rely on having a human user supply an
iSeries user id and password, since we will be running batch programs on the
PeopleSoft server that use JTOpen to access the iSeries.

What would be best practices for dealing with using JTOpen when there is no
human end user to provide a user id and password? Do we necessarily have to
create a standard user id and password on the iSeries for these programs? If
so, how should we handle security for the standard user id and password?

Thanks,
Kelly
