Flat File Help...AS400 File Conversion to .TXT flat file

Is there a reason that you need to use Java for this?

 

If not, did you consider the CL command CPYTOIMPF which will create a flat
file from an AS400 file.  

 

Try this:  

 

CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(QIWS/QCUSTCDT) TOSTMF('/customers.txt') RCDDLM(*CRLF)
