How about Frances Stewart? My pushing to find out who is giving you these recommendations is not to cause you grief, but instead to make sure you get the right resources. IBM is not a monolithic company, and oftentimes you don't get the whole story, especially when it comes to the iSeries. Second, I don't blindly recommend the iSeries for all jobs. If I understand your application correctly, you're serving web pages from a non-iSeries platform and connecting to the iSeries via JTOpen. In my opinion, that's one of the best ways to do things. However, I'd still want to know what was causing the severe performance degradation you're seeing on the iSeries. Anyway, sorry if I sounded cranky. Didn't mean to be.
