        Colin,

        This is my classpath before calling the app....I copied the
jt400.jar file in /java folder..

         export -s

CLASSPATH=.:/java/xml/jdom/build/jdom.jar:/java/xml/jdom/lib/xerces.jar:
/java/xml/jdom/lib/xml- apis.jar:/java/xml/jdom
        /lib/saxpath.jar:/java/xml/jdom/lib/jaxen-
jdom.jar:/java/xml/jdom/lib/xalan.jar:/java/jt400.jar:/java/xml/jdom/lib
/jaxen-
        core.jar

        Does the jt400.jar needs to be in the root directory.

        rgds,

Rajesh Anand

Anand,

The AS400JDBCDriver that you are trying to register needs to be on you
classpath. You need to add the jar file that holds it, jt400.jar to your
classpath.

On the 400 this is in /QIBM/ProdData/HTTP/Public/jt400/lib/jt400.jar

Cheers

Folks,

        I'm newbie to Java on as400. I've run into a problem,

        can someone please help???

        My java pgm compiles ok and when I run it, it gives me the
following error.

        java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver
        at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source)
        at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source)
        at gmi.pme.ReadIntRateXML.updatetable(ReadIntRateXML.java:134)
        at gmi.pme.ReadIntRateXML.main(ReadIntRateXML.java:116)

        Here is the snippet of my code...

        try{
                        DriverManager.registerDriver(new
com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver());
                        Connection con =
DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:as400//mldev400/SPANAND");

                        Statement stmt = con.createStatement();

                        String sqlstmt = "select PMCTN,PMRTY from
BLMINTF1 where PMVSS = " + xpvss.trim();

        Thanks in advance,

Rajesh Anand
