No suitable Driver error when running Java on AS400

Folks,

        I'm newbie to Java on as400. I've run into a problem,

        can someone please help???

        My java pgm compiles ok and when I run it, it gives me the
following error.

        java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver
        at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source)
        at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(Unknown Source)
        at gmi.pme.ReadIntRateXML.updatetable(ReadIntRateXML.java:134)
        at gmi.pme.ReadIntRateXML.main(ReadIntRateXML.java:116)


        Here is the snippet of my code...

                        DriverManager.registerDriver(new
com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver());
                        Connection con =
DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:as400//mldev400/SPANAND");
                        
                        Statement stmt = con.createStatement();
                        
                        String sqlstmt = "select PMCTN,PMRTY from
BLMINTF1 where PMVSS = " + xpvss.trim();
